IECEx CoPC – Training & Assessment

People are the weakest link in most safety chains. The majority of accidents are caused by a lack of competence, clear responsibilities, and commitment. The IECEx System has introduced an internationally recognized and accepted scheme for the certification of personnel competence covering working with the design, selection, installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair services for equipment in or associated with hazardous areas.  A Recognized Training Provider and accredited Certification Body (ExCB) under IECEx 05 – Scheme for Certification of Personnel Competence (CoPC) offers a Seminar (preparatory training) and Assessments for persons who work with Ex equipment and hazardous areas in each duty concerning with IEC 60079 Standards for Explosive Atmospheres. This seminar and assessment starts with the fundamental and prerequisite units;

• Ex 000 – Basic knowledge and awareness to enter a site that includes a classified hazardous area
• Ex 001 – Principles of protection in explosive atmospheres knowledge

Tentative Schedule:  10-11 March 2025 (for Seminar) and 24 March (for Exam)

Venue: in Bangkok (TBC)

*** The next units for other functions e.g. Ex 004 for Ex maintenance service, or Ex 007 and Ex 008 for Ex inspection service, or Ex 003 and Ex 006 for Ex installation service, or Ex 002 and Ex 009 for Ex engineering design service will be arranged later when enough number of applicants for a class.

Tentative Schedule:

• Ex 003+006             : 12 March 2025  (for seminar)
• Ex 004+007+008  : 13  March 2025  (for seminar)
• Ex 002                       : 3-4 April 2025 (for seminar)

Note: Exams will be in next 2 weeks after seminar.
