Advising for Dual Classifications and the use of Zone Equipment in the Class Division area

One of our services for advising about the Ex equipment installations in hazardous areas, our certified IECEx CoPC auditor/inspector has been requested for a site visit at PTTGC-3 plant for inspection and to give expert advice regarding the Dual Classification of the hazardous areas and review the use of Zone Equipment within the Class Division of the classified area with reference to applicable code and standard. Even though this is not a normal practice in engineering design, there are national and local standards that permit the applications. However, for compliance, the conditions according to standard requirements are required to be checked, then approved for corrections, and finally once finished, the plant documentations are required to be updated.
